The sixth annual Quinney Fishing Club  Friday Fish Fry and Sheephead Fishing Tournament has been scheduled

The Perch Plate Fry will be held Friday, Aug. 9 from 4 p.m.-9 p.m. in downtown Quinney on the lower Quinney Road.

Rain or Shine on Saturday, Aug. 10, there will be the Sheephead Fishing Tournament.

There is no starting time and fisherpersons are requested to use good sportsmanship during the tournament.

Entry fee is $20 per boat.

Weigh-in will be at 4 p.m.  A prize will be awarded for the biggest sheephead caught.

Hamburgers, brats and hot dogs will be sold during the event.

A Family Fest and Pig Roast is being sponsored by the Friends of the Chilton Public Library, at the Chilton Public Library on Park Street, Chilton.  The event will be held from 10:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Saturday, Aug. 3rd.

Proceeds will be used for supporting future programming for the Chilton Public Library.

There will be a dessert sale and old fashioned games on hand, such as water balloon toss, sack races, a three-legged race, face painting, balloon artist and dunk tank.

Music will be held during the event.



Mark your calendars for the 7th Annual North American Miracle Treat Day on Aug. 8.

The day-long event helps to raise money for the Children’s Miracle Network (CMN) in support of great health and well-being among children, adults and their families.

The Dairy Queen of Chilton, a proud supporter of the Chilton area and community, will donate $1 to the CMN for each blizzard sold on Aug. 8.

Stop in for a blizzard and check out Dairy Queen’s awesome specials including the $5 Buck Lunch available from open to 4 p.m. everyday!




The next meeting of the Chilton Chamber of Commerce will be held on Sept. 4 at 12 p.m. at Pla-Mor Lanes, Chilton.



The 11th Annual Crafty Apple Fest will be held Saturday, Sept. 7 from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Park Street, Chilton.

The festival offers events for all ages and is free.

Amy Hanten of Fox 11 will be at the fest from 10 a.m. to 11:30 a.m.

An apple pie contest will be held at 1 p.m. at the Wisconsin Public Service Building.

Other highlights include Pumpkin Bowling sponsored by the FBLA and live entertainment by the CaHoots and a variety of craft and food venders, including micro-beer from Rowlands.

Registrations are being accepted for fall classes.  A wide variety of classes for all ages will be offered.

Classes range in duration from single day courses to a full semester courses.

The retail Shoppe, located at W2994 County Rd., HH, Pipe is now open, seven days a week from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m.

The goat cheese is handcrafted with pride and excellence and whole and low fat goat bottled goat milk is available in the store.

Included in the retail Shoppe are cheese, ice cream, craft beer and wine.

The public is invited to view milking of the approximately 425 goats at 4:30 p.m. daily.

The Calumet County Fair in Chilton will welcome the Aussie Kingdom Show during Labor Day weekend (Aug. 30 to Sept. 2). The Aussie Kingdom Show is the only traveling Australian show in the nation. The show presents educational facts about the different species of kangaroos and wallabies, along with Australian birds.

There will be three show performances each day at the fair and all the animals will be on display continuously throughout. Come visit the Aussie Farms at the North end of the fairgrounds. More info at
