Numerous 4-H adult leaders and 4-H members received special recognition at the annual Recognition Night held at Hilbert Community Center on November 14.
Fifty-seven 4-H members received Outstanding Member awards for the extra efforts they showed in their clubs this last year. Clubs select members to be recognized on the county level. Those members are: • Chilton area: Christopher Biese, Heidi Biese, Samantha Biese, Nickolas Ditter, Jacob Petrie, Jordan Petrie, Collin Steiner, Reegan Steiner, Nicole Schmidlkofer, Anna Hickinbotham, Tina Holst, Heather Koehler, Abby Sattler, Tjark Sattler, Gina Geiser, Jared Geiser, Marissa Geiser, Ashley Pagel, Abigail Rieth, Parker Stecker, Brady Calaway, Jeff Ditter, Kayla Krebsbach, Mariah Tasch, and Nick Walber. • New Holstein area: Brett Fulleylove-Krause, Ashton Fischer, and Becca Sippel • Appleton area: William Brietzke, Katlin Krepline, Caleb LaCount, and Allison Loderbauer • Brillion area: Amanda Krahn, Kayla Krahn, Mitchell Krahn, Monique Levash, Blake Klessig, Hope Klessig, Jackie McGlin, Jenna McGlin, Derek Schmidt, Tyler Schmidt, Kiana Gasch, Tamika Gasch, Heather Doughty, and Emily Berken • Stockbridge area: Olivia Fischer, Macquel Brown, and Maya Franzen • Kiel area: Emma Hughes • Hilbert area: Emily Kesler, Paige Krueger, Craig Krueger, Lydia Pomeroy, and Nicole Wittmann • Sherwood area: Heidi Smrecek, Anna Roth, Liz Schuessler, Alanna VanHandel Community Builder Awards were presented in the Club Category. Shooting Stars received 1st place, and Woodville Stars received 2nd place. Maya Franzen of the Woodville Stars 4-H Club received 1st place in the Junior Division of the Builders Category. In addition, awards were given to club secretaries and reporters, to dairy, livestock, and horse judging teams, and participants in other district and state activities. 4-H Leaders received pins and certificates for service to the program. First year-leaders were Chad Aplin, Michael Berken, Jeffrey Brantmeier, Robert Danes, Valery Davis, Joshua Escher, Brenda Fischer, James Fischer, Rachel Fischer, Rhonda Geiger, Luke Geiser, Troy Jansen, Donna LaCoste, Lisa Lane, Matthew Marmor, Michael McCord, Lisa Meier, Laura Petermann, Jamie Pomeroy, Audra Schuessler, Sarah Schuette, Sarah Thiel, William Turk, Jody Tveit, Janice VanHandel, Scott VanHandel, Joan Walber, and Maryann Zoesch-Garrow. Five-year leaders include Darlene Bartlein, Penny Biese, Lisa Ditter, Judy Doughty, Stephanie Halbach, Rebecca Hansen, Denise Juckem, Elizabeth Kopecky, Amy Krahn, Kristine Loderbauer, Robert Loderbauer, Eric Pagel, and Dale Voskuil. Leaders with ten years of service included Kay Biese, Susan Quist, Richard Rieth, and Darren Sattler. Fifteen-year leaders are Mary Gebhart, Gail Geiser, Joan Lisowe, Catherine Pagel, and Kathleen Stebane. Twenty-year leaders include Byron Hacker and Cheri Sattler. Steve Klessig was recognized for twenty-five years as a 4-H leader. Anna Mae Kopf and Mary Meyers were acknowledged as thirty-five year leaders. Amy Genske, Caroline Krahn, and Connie Ott were recognized for their 40 years of 4-H leadership nd Donald Sattler was recognized for his 45 years of leadership to the Calumet County 4-H Program. Special Leadership Awards were given to Steve and Faye Klessig, Forest Ever Ready 4-H Club; Steve and Sue Reuter, Sherwood Wide Awake 4-H Club; and Rita Holst, Chilton Tip Top 4-H Club. The Volunteer of the Year Award was awarded to Connie Ott for her donation of an endless number of hours to the Calumet County 4-H Program, Calumet County Fair, and the Market Animal Committee. The Calumet County 4-H Leaders honored Kaytee Products Inc. as the 2009 Friends of 4-H. They have been supporters of 4-H through their donation of rabbit cages, small animal cages, and accessories. |
