There are still a few openings for our computer class for beginners scheduled for Tuesday February 9th from 1 to 3 p.m. Please call the library at 849-4414 if you are interested. We have a family program with Mr. Billy for our Valentine celebration. Mr. Billy will be here Thursday February 11th at 6:30 p.m. We will have some door prizes and chocolates after his performance. Mr. Billy who is a children's singer, song ROCKER from DePere. He has been playing guitar and writing his own songs since he was 9 years old. He has recorded over eight award winning cd's of extreme kids music. The Milwaukee Bucks program Read To Achieve is in full swing. This program is open to children in grades third to the tenth. It is a 6 week challenge. Score 500 points which is pages and you become an All-Star reader and earn a voucher good for a free ticket to a Bucks home game at the Bradley Center. You choose the game either Sunday March 14 at 12 Noon vs. Indiana Pacers or Friday March 26 at 7:30 p.m. vs. Miami Heat. Sign up today! The deadline for reporting your score is Saturday February 13th. The Chilton library also has a special drawing for those who participate. It is important to place a hold if you are interested in reading a bestseller book. In our shared system, there are many copies of bestsellers, but placing a hold is vital in obtaining the material in a timely manner. Storytime for pre-school children is every Wednesday at 10:30 a.m. It is not necessary to sign up in advance. Library hours: Monday to Thursday 10 to 8 p.m., Fridays 10 to 6 p.m. Saturdays 10 to 1 p.m. and Sundays 12 to 3 p.m. |
