Advanced Fuel Services in Stockbridge is looking into the future. Company owner Lance Lisowe emphasized as "Advanced Future Services moves forward, "We feel better positioned to 'hit the ball' no matter what pitch is thrown to us!" Advanced Fuel Services, Lisowe said, has future plans of additional LP Gas storage at their Stockbridge facility. “From our office to filling tanks, we are always looking into and investing in ‘new technology’ that can allow us be the most efficient,” Lisowe said. The company changed their name from Lisowe Propane, LLC to their new name of Advanced Fuel Services or AFS. They were established in 2004. They sell and service propane (LP gas) for its most common use in home heating, commercial applications and many farm-related uses. The company shares office space and resources with Lisowe Oil Co. With overwhelming support from the local community and its residents, Lisowe Propane grew and began to serve customers in and outside the local area. As businesses and lives are changing so rapidly, Lisowe said, "We felt our business name should be changed to allow us to better market ourselves throughout the seven counties we are now serving.” “We are the model for a small family owned and operated family business,” he noted. In addition to Lance, the company is also owned by his wife Kim. “We have an 11-year-old daughter, who assumes yard duties at their shop and a 5-year-old son, who just loves to pull the air horn on dad’s propane delivery truck, he said. “We feel very strongly in the value and the many uses of propane. From heating the home or buildings, water, foods and clothes, propane finds its way into so many applications. To the farm, it heats milkhouses, water, workshops and crop drying. As a single source, propane offers more choices than any other energy source. We even use propane to inject into our diesel engines that we run in our delivery trucks,” Lisowe emphasized. “Every chance we get we like to thank all of our customers. Without them and their focus on small business success and growth, we would not exist,” Lisowe concluded. |
