The theme for Morning Storytime on Wednesday March 3rd is "Trucks, Cars, Airplanes". Storytime starts at 10:30 a.m. We get many questions on motor vehicle's day that they are at the library. Presently they come every other month on the 3rd Tuesday of the month from 9:45 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. They will be at the library on April 20th. We do have an ongoing collection of theme books located next to our new book section. Presently we have an Irish theme. The books go out for 3 weeks like our other books. A big thank you to those who recently donated books, magazines, and dvd's to the library. We first try to fit the item in our collection, but if we have too many copies than the item is put in our ongoing booksale in the meeting room of the library. Most hardcover books are 50 cents, paperbacks, 25 cents, and magazines 10 cents. If the item is a new bestseller it will be priced higher than 50 cents and have a sticker on it. Proceeds from the booksale go towards the wish list of the library. The Chilton and Manitowoc Public Library are the only libraries in our system open on Sundays. We are open from 12 to 3 p.m. This is a great opportunity for those who work out of town during the week to get to the library. The next Friends of the Library meeting will be Monday March 22nd. New members are always welcome. We will be working on plans for events during Chilton's Summer Festival Father's Day weekend. Library Hours are: Monday to Thursday 10 to 8 p.m., Fridays 10 to 6 p.m., Saturdays 10 to 1 p.m. and Sundays 12 to 3 p.m. |
