Ledge View Nature Center is one step closer to installing solar panels at its facility, thanks to a $1,000 grant from the Green Bay Packers Foundation. Sixty-two grants were awarded to organizations throughout the state for a total of nearly $177,000 this year. The average grant this year was about $2700 and the maximum was $5000. Sixty percent of the grants were awarded to Brown County organizations for a total of about $105,000. To date, the Packer's Foundation has distributed more than $2 million since it began in 1986. |
