GREEN BAY -- Now is the time to recognize an outstanding manufacturer in your community by nominating them for the 2010 Manufacturing Awards of Distinction.
The manufacturing industry accounts for nearly one-fifth of Northeast Wisconsin's total employment? The Manufacturing Awards of Distinction recognize those in the manufacturing sector that are strong pillars in the Northeast Wisconsin region. Award categories are based on company size, use of technology, sustainability and exporting. Nominate a client that reflects strength in the manufacturing field or nominate your own company. Craig Aderhold, president, Heartland Business Bank and longtime sponsor of the awards, emphasizes the importance of recognizing area manufacturing companies. "The awards are extremely important in Northeast Wisconsin. It's very important to celebrate the successes of our key manufacturing partners," says Aderhold. The awards are open to manufacturers located in Northeast Wisconsin counties. The Manufacturing Awards of Distinction will be presented at an awards banquet on Thursday, Nov. 4, 2010, at the KI Convention Center in Green Bay. Pre-applications are due by Aug. 16, 2010; full nominations are due by Sept. 25, 2010. Visit advancegreenbay.org for nomination forms. There are also sponsorship spots still available for the awards.
