The Ladies Bridge Marathon, consisting of 11 couples from the Chilton and Stockbridge area, recently completed its 2009-2010 season with a bridge party preceded by a luncheon at the Central House in Chilton.
Each year the group donates its proceeds to a worthy cause in the area. This year, Donna Mortimer, a member of the Bridge Club, presented a check in the amount of $245 to Crystal Fhlug of The Salvation Army, Bread Of Life Assistance Center. High Scores for the Marathon play were: Virginia Bastian/Peggy Hemauer - 37,310; Florence Schlaefer/Sandra Sturm - 34,080; Mary Thompson/Louise Mittnacht - 32, 870. High scores for the final party play of 18 hands were: Ruth Roll and Phyllis Franz.
