The first ever Beer Belly Run/Walk and Brat Fry will be held Saturday, June 27 at 10:30 a.m. at Chilton Morrissey Playground. The two-mile fun run/walk starts at the Morrissey Playground (539 School Court) and continues one mile to the Kaytee Education Center at 585 Clay St. and returns back to the playground. Registration is $20 for individuals, $70 for families. Registrants will receive a dry-release t-shirt (limit four for families). People can register in advance by completing and returning the registration form, which are available at Chilton City Hall, the Chilton Public Library or on-line at www.chilton.govoffice.com Race day registration begins at 8 a.m. Registration ends one-hour prior to the start of the race. Participants will receive a beverage during and after the race. There are adult beverages (beer) and other beverages. There are awards for the top three finishers in each category: 0-14 years old; 15-17; 18-20; 21-29; 30-39; 40-49; 50-59; 60-69; and 70 and over. There is a men and womens division. Awards are beer mugs for those over 21, medals for those under. After the race, stay for the Brat Fry or go visit the Kaytee Education Center, home of many tropical birds and small animals.
