The fourth annual Hilbert Music Festival is set to take center stage on Friday July 10, Saturday July 11, and Sunday July 12 at Civic Park which is located on the corner of Highway 57 and Chestnut Street in Hilbert. “Separate Ways,” the ultimate Journey tribute band, kicks off the festival on Friday, July 10 from 8 p.m. to 11 p.m. “If you are a Journey fan, this is a must-see performance,” festival organizer Shawn Postell said. On Saturday, July 11 jazz guitarist, Bob Balsley, will perform from 3:00 p.m. to 4:30pm. Then, get ready for the high-energy sounds of Bay City Swing from 5:00pm to 7:00pm. This 19-member jazz ensemble, conducted by Shawn Postell, is the premier big band in northeast Wisconsin. Featured vocalists will also add flavor to the group. “These musicians are among the finest and most experienced jazz musicians in the Midwest.” Postell said. “They will leave the audience tapping their toes and yelling for more.” To top off the evening, the popular reggae band, “Unity,” will entertain from 8 p.m. to 11 p.m. Sunday, July 12 gets rolling with “Nashville Pipeline,” a favorite country-flavored band, from 1:00pm to 4:00pm. Admission for the Hilbert Music Festival is free. The event will take place rain or shine. No carry-ins (food and refreshments) will be allowed. Barbeque ribs, jambalaya, beverages, bar service, and other food will be available for purchase on-site, catered by the Village Hearthstone restaurant. Proceeds will benefit the Hilbert Revitalization Group, a non-profit organization focusing on beautifying and revitalizing the village.
