There’s still time for groups and organizations to get financial support from the Chilton Area Community Foundation for worthy projects and programs but the clock is ticking. The deadline for filing an application for a CACF grant is the end of the month, Dec. 31. With less than a month until the deadline, prompt action is important. The Foundation is again in a good position to provide financial support for projects or programs that improve the quality of life in the greater Chilton area This financial support comes in the form of grants awarded at the CACF’s annual meeting in spring. The grant application period has been open since Sept. 1 and there has been a fair amount of interest in the program, according to Friederichs. A number of application forms have been picked up but none have been returned at this time. “This is not unusual,” he said, “because most of the activity takes place during the last couple of weeks before the filing deadline.” Organizations with projects that qualify for the funds are urged to look into the program. If you are uncertain as to whether your group or program would qualify for a grant, discuss it with Friederichs. All of the materials needed for a grant application are available at Friederichs Abstract & Title Service, 28 W. Main Street, Chilton. (849-4042) Anyone who feels that his/her group or project might qualify for a CACF grant is urged to stop in and pick up an application form and a brochure that describes grant guidelines. An updated version of the guidelines can be found at the CACF link at the website for the Community Foundation for the Fox Valley Region, www.cffoxvalley.org or the CACF link on the Chilton City Government website, www.chilton.govoffice.com Application forms can also be found on the websites and the full application process can be completed on the Fox Valley website. “It’s not too late to take advantage of this generous community betterment program,” Friederichs said, “but it is time to get the process started.” |
