The County Board of Supervisors voted to build a new courthouse. A modern structure is to replace the antiquated building used for over half century. Replacement costs are limited to fifty thousand dollars.

Two school girls at Calumet Harbor are attached by a rabid dog.

Fire in Hilbert destroys the barns of Dr. C.F.Lawler and John Sohn, Sr. Residences were saved by the hard work of fire fighters. The fire began from an explosion of an oil stove hued by Frank Tecks, Dr. Lawler's hostler.

Skater James McNabb Armstrong from Berlin entertained locals at the Chilton Opera House with his roller skating fancy and tricks.
