Dorothy O. Nadler, age 76 of Chilton died on Thursday, February 4, 2010 at the Calumet Medical Center in Chilton. She was born February 24, 1933 in the Town of Brothertown, daughter of the late Charles & Magdalena (Rollmann) Daun. She married Anthony L. Nadler on October 10, 1951 at St. Charles Catholic Church in Charlesburg. The couple farmed together in the Stockbridge Township, and following Anthony’s death on February 25, 1991, Dorothy continued to be involved with the family farm. Dorothy worked at Farm & Home in Chilton and the Hemauer General Store in Stockbridge. For about 10 years, Dorothy ran the Whispering Pines Bed & Breakfast and was able to entertain people from all over the world. She was a member of Good Shepherd Catholic Church, formerly St. Elizabeth Parish, and enjoyed fishing, sewing and was known to be an expert quilter. Survivors include her children: Joseph (Diane) Nadler of Chilton, John (Janice) Nadler of Chilton, Mary (Glenn) Mueller of Chilton, Antoinette (Bill) Habermann of New Holstein; 12 grandchildren: Rebecca (Jeff) Nichols, Anthony Nadler, Jennifer, Benjamin, Nicholas, & Paul Nadler, Jacob, Philip, Angela, James, & Rachel Mueller, Thomas Habermann; 1 great-grandchild: Ava Nichols; 6 siblings: Marie Gust, Rita Polster, Benjamin (Bette) Daun, Carol (Charles) Northway, Carl (Beverly) Daun, Virginia (Gary) Bonlander; and a brother-in-law: Robert Keltesch. Dorothy is further survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband: Anthony; and 3 sisters; Genevieve Daun, Theresa Nucciarone, & Cordula Keltesch. Funeral service will be at 11:30 AM on Wednesday, February 10, 2010 at Good Shepherd Catholic Church in Chilton with the Rev. Bob Kollath officiating. Burial will take place in the St. Elizabeth Catholic Cemetery in Kloten. Friends may call at the Wieting Family Funeral Home (411 W. Main St.) in Chilton from 4:00 PM until 8:00 PM on Tuesday, February 9, 2010 and on Wednesday at the funeral home from 10:00 AM until 11:00 AM. A family led rosary and parish vigil service will begin Tuesday evening at the funeral home at 7:00 PM. |
