In the summer of 2008, Martha was honored to be chosen to attend and participate in the Wisconsin Leadership Seminar (WILS) program.

As part of her community involvement, Martha worked on the Morrissey Park project and has participated in the Calumet County Community Theater. In her church, Good Shepherd Parish, she was a member of the Cornerstone Choir and Jesus & Company.
