Young minds at Happy Hour Nursery School will have additional stimulation this school year as they use numerous new educational tools purchased through a 2010 grant from the Chilton Area Community Foundation (CACF) and United Way funding. The preschool for 3- and 4-year-olds takes place on Tuesday and Thursday mornings in the lower level of Ebenezer United Church of Christ in Chilton. The children's introduction to school will be more entertaining and exciting with new ABC peg boards, shape and color sorting centers, a sing-a-long flip chart, musical instruments, and much more purchased with the grant money. Staff and parents are also pleased to have sturdy shelving units and a new activity table thanks to the funding. Happy Hour Nursery School is a nonprofit cooperative run by the families whose children attend the school. This year, 13 children are in the program, taught by one teacher and two aids. |
