HIlbert loses to Chilton, Mishicot PDF Print E-mail

The Chilton boys basketball team finished their regular season on a good note but ended Olympian Conference opponent Hilbert's on a bad note, as the Tigers edged out the Wolves by a score of 59-51.

The Tigers jumped out to a 14-6 lead after one quarter of play was in the books, but Hilbert fought back to close the gap to 27-22 at the half.  
Chilton came out of the halftime break renewed and outscored the Wolves by ten points in the third stanza of the game to cruise to the win.
Leading scorers on the night for the Tigers were:  Charles Ruffing with 16, Stuart Degeneffe with 11, Lucas Hemauer with 10, and Danny Mallmann with eight.

2010march250014The Wolves were led in scoring on the night by Jared Krueger with 11, followed by Braden Hemauer with 10, TJ Hemauer and Jeremiah Kersten both with seven, Nick Krepline with six, and Marcus Keuer with five.  2010march250021

Both teams now head to post season play.  Hilbert is set to face Marion at Marion in the first round of regional action on Tuesday March 2nd.  Chilton, who is in D-2, will take on Fox Valley Lutheran away on Tuesday March 2.
