Chilton II traveled to Kiel and brought home an 8-4 win on Sunday.
Pitcher Ashley Juckem went the distance with 9 walks, 4 strikeouts and 3 hits.
Chilton put two on the board in the first inning with four consecutive hits from Beth Brandt, Cheyanne Van Grinsven, Chayanne Broeckel, and Ashley Juckem.
They then pushed their lead by three more in the third inning on walks to Danielle Schmitz and Cheyanne Van Grinsven, and then a single by Alisa Hoerth and a double by Brandt to ignite the rally.
Chilton's defense shined all day as they turned two key double plays. A tag out throw out by Brandt at the second base saved some runs in the fifth inning as Kiel got three runs on four walks and one hit.
Leading hitters of the day for Chilton were: Brandt 3-3 with a walk, Broeckel 2-3 with a walk, Hoerth 2-3 with a walk, Marissa Moehn 1-2 with a walk, and Danielle Schmitz 1-2 with a walk.
Chilton II will have next week off due to the forfeit from Chilton 1, and will then travel to Kiel again but against Kiel I for a 4 p.m. first pitch.
