If you like golf, a good time and want to support a truly worthwhile cause the upcoming Chilton Area Community Foundation (CACF) golf outing at Hickory Hills Country Club is where you want to be on Saturday, Aug. 21.
Team registration for the event, which opens with an 8 a.m. shotgun start, has begun but there are still an adequate number of team openings.
Registration forms are available at Hickory Hills, Great Midwest Bank, the Chilton City Hall or can be downloaded at the Community Foundation for the Fox Valley Region website at www.cffoxvalley.org. Follow the link to affiliates, Chilton.
The entry fee for a team is $240 or $60 per person. The fee includes fees for golf greens, a cart, and lunch. Cash prizes will be awarded in three divisions -- men’s, women’s and mixed, as well as a random prize to a foursome.
In addition to the cash prizes this event offers many other prize opportunities for competition on a number of golf holes plus top flight bucket raffles and other prizes.
All of the proceeds from the outing directly benefit the community in the form of grants that are awarded annually to worthy and worthwhile causes that improve the quality of life in the Greater Chilton Area.
Over the past nine years CACF has awarded grants totaling more than $182,000, more than half of which came from golf outing proceeds.
A solid turnout of golfers ensures the success of this important cause but the event can use help in other areas.
Prizes, cash gifts or hole sponsorships are needed as well as a crew of volunteer workers for the day of the event.
If you can help in any way please contact outing chairman Greg Garton at Great Midwest Bank, 920-849-9381.
