The Chilton cross country team opened their season with an impressive team sweep of the New Holstein Quad meet which was held on Thursday August 26th.
Both the Chilton boys and girls cross country teams won the team portion of the meet. The Tigers beat teams from New Holstein, Plymouth, and Sheboygan Falls. Team scores for the girl's teams were: Chilton 24, Plymouth 40, Sheboygan Falls 109, and New Holstein 137. Team scores for the boy's team were: Chilton 33, Plymouth 36, Sheboygan Falls 68, and New Holstein Incomplete. Top three individual finishers at the quad on the girl's side were: 1st Haley Johnson of Plymouth in a time of 18:11, 2nd Kristen Linzmeier of Chilton 15:48, and 3rd Niki Rhyan Plymouth 16:37. Top three individual finishers at the quad on the boy's side were: 1st Luke Schmidt of Plymouth in a time of 18:11, 2nd Jake Rollmann of Chilton 18:23, and 3rd James Wise of Chilton 18:39. Other top finishers for the Chilton boy's team were: 7th Jon Mortimer 19:43, 9th Marcus Chaussee 19:54, and 12th Zac Schmitz 20:19. Other top finishers for the Chilton girl's team were: 4th Ali Richman 16:58, 5th Kayla Lisowe 17:56, 6th Amber Schmitz 17:56, 7th Chelsea Kilgas 18:02, and 8th Kara Linzmeier 18:16. The Tigers cross country team will continue with its season on Friday September 3rd at the Freedom Invitational held at Irish Waters Golf Club.
