The Stockbridge volleyball team opened their season on September 2nd with a loss to Oostburg in three straight sets by scores of 25-12, 25-12, and 25-8. It was a tough opening match but the team showed a lot of heart, never giving up.
Stat leaders on the night for the Indians were: Kills-Michele Mader eight, Natalie Krueger two, Jeana Campbell and Melissa Mader both kill one kill and one tip kill, and Kati Zahringer with one kill. Assists-Melissa Mader with nine, Zahringer with five, and Campbell with one. Digs-Michele Mader with eight, Stockbridge is set to take on their next opponent Sevastopol on Tuesday September 7th at home, followed by another home game against Ozaukee on Thursday September 9th, the Shiocton Tournament on Saturday September 11th, and an away game against Elkhart Lake on Tuesday September 14th. |
