Pictured above are the members of the 2010 Chilton Girls Tennis Team. Front row (left to right): Sarah Enszer, Gigi Rodriguez, Nicole Schmidlkofer, Natalie Woelfel, and Alyssa Kartheiser. Second row (left to right): Manager Bryce Hammen, Shanna Weber, Taylor Kandler, Briana Reilly, Brooklyn Biese, Brienne Mallmann, Ashley Pagel, Samantha Biese, and Manager Travis Buechel. Back row (left to right): Head coach Tom LaFountain, Cecilia Stewart, Selia Salzsieder, Hannah Brandenburg, Kelly Berth, Erin Hauser, Alex Theiler, Megan Fritz, Shanna Feldner, Emily Koller, and Assist coach Julie Hyska. The Chilton Tigers Lady Tennis Team is excited about the upcoming season. The Tigers will be coached against this season by Tom LaFountain who is in his fourth season with Chilton. LaFountian will be assisted this season by Julie Hyska. The Tigers finished last season with a record of 3-5. That placed them toward the bottom of the back. But the Tigers have good numbers out for this season's team. The 2010 team is overall very athletic and the girls really have a good work ethic, according to coach LaFountain. They do however lack experience. The Tigers will more than likely finish their season somewhere in the middle of the conference pack, but some progress well and earn some much needed experience. Other members of this season's team are: Seniors-Shanna Feldner amd Brooklyn Biese, Juniors-Megan Fritz, Gigi Rodriguez, and Emily Kohler, Sophomores-Hannah Brandenburg, Tayler Kandler, Selia Salseider, Sarah Enszer, and Brienne Mallman, and Freshmen-Ashley Pagel, Schwana Weber, Samantha Biese, and Natalie Woelfel. Chilton opened their season with a big win over the Kewaunee and a loss to Two Rivers. Their next match takes place on Tuesday September 7th against Kiel at home, followed by another home match against Sheboygan Falls on Thursday September 9th. |
