The Chilton Tigers tennis duo of Mike Ausloos and Zigmunt Gross fell in round one of the WIAA Division 2 state tennis tournament. It took one set of nerves for the Tigers duo to come out and play their game, and that was just too much for the No. 1 doubles team of Ausloos and Gross to overcome. Chilton was knocked out the state tournament in round one as they were unable to overcome a slow start, losing set one 6-0 and set two 6-3. The Chilton team lost to Danny Meicher and Derek Braucht of Madison Edgewood in a first round match on Thursday at the WIAA State Individual Tennis Tournament in Madison. Ausloos and Gross finish their season with a 12-7 record. Congratulations on a great season!!! |
